“I just love the word, birdling. It makes me feel happy, it makes me believe that there’s an innocent world and it sets me back into nature. There’s a certain innocence about birdling that I love so I try and create that in my work, that childlike innocence – nothing is perfect, it is what it is. Birds, they come and go. Once they enter your little atmosphere, they can brighten your day and make you feel happy.” – Gus Leunig
