Kerrie Leishman

About Kerrie Leishman:

My work is inspired by the sea, by energies and atmospheres, a sense of place made physical. I am driven by intuition; a searching.

Each painting is an unplanned journey, an exploration of horizon and interplay between earth and sky, with a focus on the physicality and application of paint. The wind blowing, the storms brewing, and where the ocean meets the land. This is where I feel good and alive.

In doing these paintings I am reminded of how important it is to respect what the ocean is and does.
